Compressed Air Receivers

A proper compressed air installation has acorrectly sized air receiver tank directly afterthe compressor. Windbell WBT Range air receiver makes air available at a constant pressure by storing compressed air for peakdemand. By avoiding undue load/unload cycles, it saves energy costs and extends the life of thecompressor.

The advantages of a correctly sized air receiver is:

• ● The fewer times the compressor loads, the greater the efficiency and the lower the power costsresulting in less wear and tear on the air compressor's components.
• ● It removes 60% to 70 % of the condensate from the compressed air.
• ● Air receivers have a unique anti-block drain connection.

Your air compressor installation can in theory run without a receiver, but not having one in your airsystem can increase the loading and unloading cycles on the compressor making the compressorwork harder. it is important to remember that load/unload cycles will depend on the demandfluctuation within your facility. Air receivers, commonly referred to as vessels or tanks are used tostore compressed air before it enters into the piping system and or equipment. In simpler termsair receivers act as a buffer mechanism between the compressor and the fluctuating pressurecaused by the changing demand.
